Minnesota to go all out for Vanek this summer?

According to Charley Walters of TwinCities.com the Minnesota Wild will go all out to sign Thomas Vanek this summer.

“Craig Leipold, determined to win a Stanley Cup for Minnesota, two summers ago invested $196 million in free agents Zach Parise and Ryan Suter.

This summer, look for Leipold, the Wild owner, to spend whatever it takes — probably another $40 million or so — to add free agent Thomas Vanek to the roster.”

All fingers have been pointing to Minnesota ever since Vanek publicly announced that he will test the free agent market. Vanek, 30, has a history with the city of Minnesota, played his junior hockey there as well as it being his hometown and where his family lives.
