Habs prepared to move Markov for the ‘right price’

Louis Jean of TVA Sports is reporting that the Montreal Canadiens are now in a position to move Andrei Markov. Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks were reportedly interested in his services not to long ago, what remains to be seen is if these teams are still interested.

The price presented by Marc Bergevin is reportedly a 1st round draft pick and a top-tier forward prospect.

The Montreal Canadiens are ready to dispose of Andrei Markov, but not at any price. The GM Marc Bergevin wants to get a first round pick and hope foreground in exchange, reported by Louis Jean.

Renaud Lavoie also of TVA Sports doesn’t think Markov will be moved barring a massive over-payment, but says you can’t be 100% sure about anything.

There were also reports that Markov turned down a two-year offer from the Habs and that is indeed true.
