Beaulieu and Nattinen Reassigned to Hamilton

The Montreal Canadiens announced after their loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last night that defenseman Nathan Beaulieu and forward Joonas Nattinen have both been sent back down to the AHL.

Beaulieu logged 13:36 (0:37 of powerplay time) of ice time, registered 2 shots, 2 hits and was a +1 on the night. Beaulieu looked pretty confident and comfortable at moving the puck up and down the ice. I fully expect Beaulieu to be recalled very soon again as he played a pretty solid game despite the team losing.

Nattinen on the other hand was used very, very sparingly to the point that he only has 2 shifts and both of them were early in the first period. Nattinen registered 1:45 of ice time and had one blocked shot and was 0 for 1 on the face-off circle. I don’t expect Nattinen to be called up next time if the Habs need an extra forward.
