Bulldogs Sign Macenauer to a 1 Year AHL Deal

The Hamilton Bulldogs announced earlier today that they have signed forward Maxime Macenauer to a 1 year deal in the AHL. Macenauer, 24, was recently on a 25 game professional try-out with the Bulldogs and has put up 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 23 games so far this year.

In 23 games with Hamilton this season, Macenauer has recorded six points (two goals, four assists) and 14 penalty minutes. The 24-year-old spent the 2012-2013 season with the St. John’s IceCaps. In 68 regular season games with St. John’s, the Laval, Quebec native recorded 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) and 57 penalty minutes. The 6’0”, 200-pound forward was originally selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the third round (63rd overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The experienced forward of 192 career AHL regular season games and 29 career NHL regular season games was signed by the Bulldogs to a 25-game professional try out contract on October 4th after attending training camp on a try out. This new contract is for the rest of the 2013-2014 season.
