Montreal Getting Calls On Pacioretty
According to TSN’s Bob McKenzie Max Pacioretty’s name has been involved in some trade talks of recent. Also Pierre LeBrun has added that a source told the ESPN.com that GM Marc Bergevin has been taking some calls on Pacioretty as some teams have inquired about him.
Now Marc Bergevin is NOT shopping Pacioretty at any circumstance, rather is simply answer calls from some teams around the league about him.
TSN’s Bob McKenzie dropped a real interesting nugget Tuesday evening, reporting that Montreal Canadiens winger Max Pacioretty‘s name has been mentioned in trade talks.
A Habs source forcibly told ESPN.com that Pacioretty is not being shopped, but that obviously the team can’t prevent other clubs from calling. And teams have. espn.com
Also to be noted is that Pacioretty did fire his agent recently and if that has anything to do with these “calls” remains to be seen.
There was also the recurring rumors that the Canadiens would move Pacioretty for Evander Kane in Winnipeg, but those rumors were not sufficient enough to gain traction. What seems to be similar between the two though is that the Winnipeg Jets are also getting calls on Kane.
For now Pacioretty will not be going anywhere unless the return is really large. With Patches’ recent play it might take an over payment from the other team to pry him out of Montreal.
